Invitation Creating Spaces' multitouch preview

Creating Spaces is a European (EFRO) research project by the Media & Design Academy (KHLim, Genk, University Leuven), art center Z33 and EDM (University Hasselt). This project aims at designing a multitouch table with an open and participatory interface that can be used
-in and during face-to-face workshops
-and as a tool that provides more insight in the artistic process for exhibition visitors

Starting from the 30th of October the first prototype of the multitouch table is tested in the Z33 exhibition OpenStructures by Thomas Lommée.

You are all welcome at the 29th of October on the preview of this prototype and for a short debate about the integration of multitouch technology in a cultural environment.

EDM, expertise centrum for Digital Media is, next to the EFRO project, also part in the project ‘MuTable’ of Art Centre Vooruit. Kris Luyten, Philippe Bekaert (EDM) en Liesbeth Huybrechts (MDA) debate with Jan Boelen (Z33) and Henk Catry (Vooruit) about the integration of multitouch technology in an art center.
Starting from 19 o'clock there will be some drinks and live demo by Thomas Laureyssens, Priscilla Machils (MDA) and Johannes Taelman (EDM).
