The paper discusses the European project Living Spaces and how this participatory design process uses the concepts of boundary objects, open spaces and agile- and metadesign.

After lunch break, Gunnar Stevens presented his view "On the Social Construction of Open Innovation". Stevens illustrated examples of Open Design Spaces (ODS) and researched how to organising the opennes for practicing Open Innovation in relation to SME's.
Jorg Niesenhaus discussed "Challenges and Potentials of User Involvement in the Process of Creating Games". He gave an overview of the history of user involvement in the area of digital games and described the challenges and potentials of the participation and motivation of users.
Unfortunately, the authors of a fourth paper couldn't join the workshop. The last presentation described a case example of co-creating through user feedback in an online Living Lab by Asbjørn Følstad.
