The Illuminated Manuscript combines physical interfaces with purely typographical information in a virtual environment. It explores the communicative possibilities of spatialized language in electronic media, in specific new types of reading in tune with human perceptual abilities.

The installation consist of a book projected with typography with a video projector. When a user turns a page, sensors embedded in the pages tell the computer to 'turn' the page. Users can also combine and manipulated text on each page, due to sonar sensors.
