Use of multi-touch technology in audio applications
The Lemur designed a control surface for audio and media applications. Their major innovation is t a modular graphic interface concept and using multi-touch sensor technology. "While conventional mice, touchscreens and tablets are limited to single contact points, the Lemur's multi-touch capacity makes it possible to use all of your ten fingertips to accurately control multiple user-interface objects at once" (Lemur's website).
The palette of configurable graphic objects enables users to design made-to-measure interfaces by using the free available JazzEditor. This endows the Lemur with the capacity to adapt its behavior according to the application one is controlling: modular synthesizers, virtual instruments, VJ software, 3D animations tools and light control.
