First MAP-it kit available

Teaser:

Last week we presented the MAP-it mapping tool kit and the Creating Spaces multitouch interface on the E-culture fair, part of the ISEA 2010 Ruhr program in Dortmund, Germany.

For all that visited us we suggest to subscribe to the MAP-it RSS feed.  Currently we're finetuning the new web application for the sharing, modifying and downloading of the mapping sheets. Some of it is already functioning here: you can download and modify the The future of the lab mapping kit we used for moderating a BALTAN labs workshop.   We'll post updates on this blog as new features and content becomes available.

The Creating Spaces multitouch project project will from now on be documented on the blog of our research group Social Spaces. The focus of this website and blog will be on participatory mapping and tools.

Finding the original context of an image

Teaser:

Artists, designers and researchers extensively use web research.  Images and media are saved on their hard drives for later reference or inspiration. The potential usage of the file is often not clear at the time of the downloading, and thus it's often not found necessary to save the URL of the original context where it was found.  When these files are shared with other people on workshops, all references to the original source are lost.

INHOUD
